About
Messiah is a creative, relational Christian church in Saint Charles County, MO. At Messiah you’ll find contemporary worship music, engaging messages, and a family-focused kids ministry. We believe God’s love is for everyone. Messiah is led by Senior Pastor Jim Mueller. We are a congregation in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

OUR MISSION
Connecting People to Jesus
Messiah’s Love-Learn-Live approach to ministry makes it simple for you to live out the mission:
1. Worship on Sundays (Love)
2. Join a Community Group (Learn)
3. Serve and give generously (Live)
These three basic steps help you fulfill the ultimate command to love God and love others.
OUR VISION
For too long, the church has been known for what it’s against. We want to be known for what we are for.
We are FOR St. Charles.

OUR BELIEFS
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the true, inspired Word of God. It is the basis of all our teachings at Messiah.
God
We believe in one God who exists in three persons (the Trinity)—Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. God the Father created all that exists. Jesus Christ redeemed humanity from sin through His death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit inspires us in our faith. All three persons of the Trinity are co-equal and co-eternal.
Sin
Sin is every thought, word, and action that is contrary to the will of God for our lives that He lays out for us in the Bible. We regularly fall short of God’s will, but out of an abundance of love for His creation, God offers us full and complete forgiveness of our sins through the sacrifice of His one and only son, Jesus.
Salvation
Our message of salvation is simple: “If you declare with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). The work of Jesus on our behalf has reconciled us to God. It is by grace through faith that we are saved.
Baptism
We believe God comes to us in the sacraments. Baptism is offered to all ages.
Communion/Lord’s Supper
The Bible lays out clear guidelines for receiving the Lord’s Supper. If you are able to answer “yes” to these questions, you are invited to share this great gift of God.
- Are you baptized?
- Do you believe Jesus’ Body & Blood are present in, with, and under the bread and wine?
- Are you sorry for your sin, want to turn from it, and believe that Jesus saves you from it?
- Do you believe the teachings of this church?
We want to encourage you and help you, so please ask us if you have questions about the Lord’s Supper.
If you have a child 8th grade or younger who has not been confirmed in the Lutheran faith, they may come forward to receive a blessing. Gluten-free wafers also available.
OUR VALUES

Found People Find People
Disciples have a great responsibility to share the good news with others. The lost aren’t commanded to go to church; the church is commanded to go to the lost. As Jesus instructed in Matthew 28:19, “go and make disciples of all nations…” Messiah exists to connect people to Jesus, and that connection begins when we reach out to share our saving faith with our neighbors
Saved People Serve People
Jesus’ ministry was marked by service and sacrifice. He sought out opportunities to help those in need and asked His disciples to do the same. As His followers today, we are to serve Him through service to others. There are needs all around us that we can and should meet if we are to truly live out our mission as people saved by grace through faith. “Faith without deeds is dead” (James 2:25b), therefore we will joyfully serve our community in thankfulness to God.
Faith & Real Life Intersect
The Bible is full of stories of Jesus ministering to the practical needs of the people He encountered. God cares about what goes on in our day-to-day lives. At Messiah, you’ll hear messages and be a part of a ministry that helps you tackle real-life issues, situations, questions, and emotions that lead to encounters with a real, living God.
Life is Better Connected
A disciple follows Jesus’s call to love like Him, learn from Him, and live for Him. Community Groups are where we learn and practice this way of life, while discipling others to do the same. Community Groups at Messiah are a space in which individuals can be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus and live out their faith. Messiah invites everyone to become part of a spiritual family found in Community Groups to share life, grow closer to God, and serve the community together.
The Faith of the Next Generation Matters Now
It’s been said that the church is just one generation away from extinction. It is frightening to think that the faith we share may not exist for our kid’s kids! For that reason, Messiah is committed to discipling our youngest Jesus-followers. We cannot assume that the ways we reached families (even in the recent past) will be effective for new generations. People want to belong to a movement, not an institution. “We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.” (Psalm 78:4) We just have to do it in a way that connects with a new generation.
