Adult Ministries
We want to help you discover the future God has for you through Community Groups.
Community Groups exist so you can do five things:
Meet new people
Serve your community
Grow in faith through God’s Word
Support each other through prayer
Apply your faith to your real life
We fully believe we grow personally, spiritually, and relationally when we do life together alongside others with Jesus at the center.
Next Steps For You
Other ways to get connected at Messiah:

Membership
Membership is not about joining a club. It is committing to make Messiah your church home.
Starting Point is a two-hour class where you’ll get to know us and we’ll get to know you. You'll learn the fundamentals of what being a Lutheran Christian means. For those transferring from other Lutheran churches, you'll learn whether Messiah's culture is a good fit for you and your family.
Next Steps Brunch is an engaging event where you'll hear about our vision, values, and discipleship process. You'll also meet Messiah's staff along with others in Messiah's community and learn about the next practical steps you can take in following Jesus at Messiah.

Serving
Did you know it's been proven more people find friendships at church through joining a serving team than any other program or ministry opportunity?
At Messiah, we have a volunteer spot made just for you. Our volunteers make guests feel welcome, help kids meet Jesus, and broadcast our worship experiences all around the world. They help put on special events and pull together all the unseen details that make everything run smoothly.
Without our volunteers, Messiah just wouldn't be Messiah. We'd love to help you find your place in making us who we are.

Mission Partners & Trips
Hearts & Hope for Uganda
Messiah partners with Hearts & Hope for Uganda to bring lasting hope to communities in Uganda through education, clean water, economic opportunity, and the Gospel.
Sponsor a Student
During Messiah’s annual sponsorship drive, individuals and families can sponsor a student in Uganda. Monthly support provides education and practical skills, while twice-yearly updates give sponsors the opportunity to build a meaningful connection with their student. Messiah’s partner communities are Nakabango and Butogonha.
Go on a Mission Trip
Hearts & Hope leads mission trips to Uganda twice each year, and Messiah invites adults and older teens to join. Informational meetings are held at Messiah and the Hearts and Hope headquarters to share details about upcoming trips, preparation, costs, and how to get involved. Participants must be at least 16 years old; ages 16–17 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
Hope Horizon Missions
HOPE HORIZON MISSIONS – POLAND
Each summer, Messiah invites individuals to join the Hope Horizon Missions trip to Poland and serve alongside local leaders and volunteers at Day Camp. The trip is an opportunity to build relationships with children and families, share the love and hope of Jesus, and encourage the ministry happening in Poland.
Informational meetings for the upcoming trip are held on Messiah’s campus. These meetings are a great place to learn about the Day Camp experience, trip details, preparation, costs, and how to get involved.
Local Missions
Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North St. Louis is a sister church of Messiah through a partnership where we support their inner city ministry financially and through service opportunities.
