COVID Updates For Messiah
Updated September 9, 2021
Service Times: Sunday 9:00 a.m. | Sunday 10:30 a.m.
(The 9:00 service is broadcast live and available on demand.)
Messiah has been safely worshiping in-person since July 2020. We adhere to state and local guidelines and follow scientifically backed recommendations from federal health authorities when determining safety measures and policies. Since reopening, Messiah has required staff and volunteers to wear masks, and worshippers were encouraged to wear them. As of May 30, 2021, Messiah will no longer require staff and volunteers to wear masks if they have been fully vaccinated. This policy follows current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which state that those who have been fully vaccinated “can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”
Staff and volunteers who feel safer wearing masks are encouraged to continue doing so. Messiah did not have a mask mandate in place for worshipers, so no policy change is necessary.
In-person worship is Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30(CST). Both services are identical. The 9:00 service is livestreamed and available on demand on our YouTube channel.
These services are both in the prime time that is most convenient for people to worship on a Sunday morning. Outside doors will open 20 minutes prior to the start of each service, so please keep that in mind when planning your arrival time.
The Lord’s Supper has resumed on the first and third Sundays of the month. Please call the office at 636-926-9773 if you wish for a Spiritual Care Pastor to bring Communion to you.
MessiahKids meets at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Messiah follows advanced cleaning protocols and volunteers will wear masks when in close contact with children. Children are encouraged to wear masks but it is not a requirement.
Coffee service will resume on September 12.
