In 2022, we are asking for your help to fill in the gaps in our church’s ministry so that we can continue to seamlessly bring the good news of Jesus to St. Charles and beyond!
Below are the specific roles we currently need to fill in three ministry areas.
MESSIAH KIDS
Help the next generation connect to Jesus! As a Messiah Kids team member, you’ll be helping to prepare fun and engaging environments for kids to learn about Jesus.
Set-Up Crew
Prepare the Square for Messiah Kids. The behind-the-scenes role will transform the Square into an inviting space for kids that is separated by ages.
Hours and Commitment: Once or twice a month for approx. 45 minutes for one person, less for a team. This task can be done any time between Friday evening and Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m
Host
Help small group leaders in the check-in and check-out process. You will be stationed in the Square during Messiah Kids and serve as a friendly face that helps the morning run smoothly.
Hours and Commitment: Twice a month from 8:30 a.m. until the last child leaves.
Small Group Leader
Connect kids to Jesus using the provided materials to tie in the group teaching to age-appropriate activities. All leaders serve with a co-leader.
The following age groups need additional small group leaders:
K/1st grade (3 needed)
2nd/3rd grade (3 needed)
4th/5th grade (2 needed)
Clean-Up Crew
Break down the Square after Messiah Kids on Sunday morning.
Hours and Commitment: Once or twice a month forapprox. 45 minutes for one person, less for a team. This task can be done any time after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
TECH TEAM
Work with others behind the scenes to deliver a quality in-person and online worship experience on Sunday mornings.
Camera Operator
Under the direction of the Producer, the camera operator works to ensure that camera shots are set up to capture the worship service on stage for the in-person and online participants.
Hours and Commitment: Once or twice a month from 8:15-11:30 a.m.
Photographer
Record the worship experience and Messiah Kids with pictures and videos on your phone or digital camera for use on Messiah’s digital and print platforms.
Hours and Commitment: Flexible for worship and special events. Photographers should be prepared to serve once a month.
WORSHIP PREP TEAM
As a multi-purpose campus that serves a church and school, Messiah’s facility requires that the worship space be prepared for Sundays the day before.
Chair Setup
Prepare the gym for Sunday worship by putting chairs out for worshippers.
Hours and Commitment: Once a month on Saturday (time flexible)
Tidy Team
The Tidy Team cleans the altar, stage, and church lobby as needed in preparation for Sunday worship.
Hours and Commitment: Once a month on Saturday (time flexible)
