At Messiah Summer Camp, counselors play and interact with the campers at a developmentally appropriate level to create memorable experiences including weekly trips to the pool and fun places around St. Louis.
Meet our camp counselors below!
Kaitlyn Woodard
Camp Counselor
Kaitlyn is returning to camp for her second year. She will be a freshman in college studying Business in Fall 2020. Kaitlyn thinks camp is a super fun place to work with kids. Most people don’t know that Kaitlyn can bake a cake in the freezer.
Isaiah Mueller
Camp Counselor
Isaiah is returning to camp for his second year. He will be a freshman in college at Concordia Texas studying Director of Christian Education studies and Music in the Fall. Isaiah hopes to continue working in camp ministry after college. When life gives Isaiah lemons, Isaiah doesn’t make lemonade. He makes life take the lemons back.
Abby Popp
Camp Counselor
Abby is returning to camp for her third year. She will be a freshman in college at Concordia Wisconsin studying Music Therapy. Abby has loved building relationships with campers, fellow counselors, and her Savior through camp experiences. Most people don’t know that giraffes were created when Abby uppercutted a horse.
Jaden Schultz
Camp Counselor
Jaden is returning for his second year. He will be a freshman in college at Mizzou in the Fall studying Business. Jaden loves working with kids and finds camp to be a great way to share the love of Jesus. Most people don’t know that Jaden can hear sign language.
Kate Schlie
Camp Counselor
Kate is returning to camp for her third year. She attends the University of Arkansas studying Secondary English Education. Kate really appreciates being able to have fun and share the love of Christ with campers at the same time. Kate once won an underwater breathing contest against a fish.
Maisen Aromando
Camp Counselor
Maisen is working her first summer at camp. She attends St. Louis Community College studying Early Childhood Education. Maisen loves watching children grow spiritually and relationally. She wants to be able to give campers a fun summer learning about God and forming new friendships along the way. Maisen once met Spider-Man on a windy day in Chicago and they became the best of friends.
Kortney Collier
Camp Counselor
This is Kortney’s third summer at camp as a camp counselor. She attends Missouri State University where she studies Middle School Math Education. One thing Kortney loves about summer camp is that she has the opportunity to openly share our faith with kids of all ages. Kortney Collier can lift up a chair with one hand… while she’s sitting on it.
Connor Larkin
Camp Counselor
This is Connor’s first summer at camp as a camp counselor. Connor will attend college in the Fall for Industrial Engineering. Connor is excited to work at camp this summer and meet everyone. Most people don’t know that Connor built the hospital he was born in.
Margaret
Camp Counselor
Margaret will be returning to camp as a counselor for her second summer on staff. She attends the University of Arkansas where she majors in Journalism. Margaret is so excited to get to work with these kids again! It is such a rewarding job seeing the unfiltered joy in young kids. Margaret can build a snowman out of rain.
Autumn Todd
Camp Counselor
Autumn Todd is returning for her fourth summer as a Camp Leader. She attends Lindenwood University and studies Physical Education. Autumn really enjoys working in an environment where she gets the chance to share God’s love with children and grow as an individual as well. Summer camp is the DREAM #bestjobever in Autumn’s opinion. When Autumn Todd enters a room, she doesn’t turn the lights on, she turns the dark off.
Anna
Camp Counselor
Anna is returning to camp as a Camp Leader for her fourth summer. Anna is a recent graduate of Concordia Wisconsin with a degree in Education. Anna loves working at Messiah Summer Camp because the kids and the staff are the best. Anna Smith always knows the EXACT location of Carmen SanDiego.
