Make Resurrection Rolls your
Easter morning tradition!
The recipe is simple enough that little hands can help in the kitchen, and have a meaningful learning experience. How can this sweet treat remind us of Jesus?
-
Jesus was perfect and sinless, white like a marshmallow. Wrapping the dough around the marshmallow is like wrapping Jesus in the burial linens.
-
Seal the dough tightly, as the tomb was sealed tightly by a stone.
-
As the rolls are cooking and cooling, read the real story of Easter from a Bible storybook or from Matthew 28: 1-6.
-
When you bite the Resurrection Roll open, you’ll discover that the marshmallow has disappeared! It’s empty, just like the tomb!

Resurrection Rolls
Ingredients
16 large marshmallows
1/2 c butter, melted
1/4 c sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 (8oz) cans crescent roll dough
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with a parchment or silicone liner. Open the crescent roll package and separate the rolls into triangles.
2. In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Dip each of the marshmallows in the melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
3. Place a marshmallow in the middle of each dough triangle, then roll the dough tightly around the marshmallow. Be sure to pinch all of the seams to seal the roll all the way around.
4. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Immediately after removing rolls from the oven, brush with the remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm & enjoy!
